A mute witness to history, social inequality, human suffering, helplessness and egoism. A complex whose fate is inextricably linked to political decision-making. A place that evokes feelings of injustice and human suffering in people, but also feelings of anger, sadness and indignation. A black dot on the city map, which for many citizens is just a dilapidated, unsightly building. An architectural monument that is an integral part of the historical center of Uherské Hradiště. A phenomenon without which the city would change its face forever. The Uherské Hradiště Prison complex has been waiting for its next fate for many years. Thousands of people walk past the enclosure wall every day and the question “What will happen to it? Will it ever be repaired?” is running through their minds. The time is coming when the complex can finally speak. Come out of its own shadow. Become part of the living urban structure. Show your true architectural value. The time for human listening is coming.
